Today class went well; we started off laying down relaxing with some music that was nice and soft. We listen to music to make us focus on what we plan on doing for today. Then we learned about the stage, for example if you stand in the middle of the stage then that is called the center stage and when you stand in the back of the stage then this is called the upstage. We started the play and it went well it was a little bit slow but it was a good start. It started off slow because people seem to not understand their lines and we had to stop almost every five minutes. The reason why we stopped so much was because we had to make sure that everybody understood their lines. Mostly everybody in the class has gotten their parts; many of us play more than one part. In the play I have to play three parts. I play the soothsayer who is like a weird person that tries to let Caesar know that he is going to killed. I also play Trebonius who is one of the men who will be helping to kill Caesar. The last character that I will be playing is the first citizen. This character that I’m playing is a person that is in the crowd. We have a crowd in the play because they heard about Caesar’s death and they want to know why is their leader dead. It didn’t seem like we were going anywhere with the play but once we start it has gotten a lot better. It seems like the class is more focused and cares about their parts now. The reason why I say that it seems like the class cares about their parts now is because everyone is trying to learn their lines and we help each other as a class.
